Destin, FL (March 12, 2008)…Amidst great fanfare with VIP dignitaries, the ribbon was cut with the Destin Chamber of Commerce ambassadors in attendance to officially mark the opening of the new West Tower office building in Destin Commons.


The engineering firm Connelly & Wicker also marked their grand opening as the first tenant in the West Tower with their new 3,000 square foot office space.

The architecturally appealing 6-story building offers views of the Destin Commons lakes, the Choctawhatchee Bay, Gulf of Mexico and landmark Destin Commons water tower. Situated between Rave Motion Pictures and Belk, the West Tower contains 90,000 square feet of Class A office space.

“This is another milestone for Destin Commons,” said the center’s general manager, Darin Grigg. “The West Tower offices wrap around two sides of the recently completed 6-story parking garage giving our office tenants the convenience of covered parking just steps from their offices.”

Turnberry Associates, the managing partner of Destin Commons, further announced their Phase 2 expansion which will include more fine retail shops, award winning restaurants and a 192-room luxury hotel and conference center. Site work will begin in late spring with construction anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2009.
